Transplant Date Set: Gratitude and Next Steps

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for everyone who has sent messages, donated, prayed, or shown up in support. We're truly blown away by all the wonderful people in our lives. Thank you.

After lots of moving parts, the transplant related dates and details are set for Colton. Colton's brother, Clint, is a half match and will be his donor. Clint has already completed several work-up appointments with more scheduled for injections prior to donating stem cells the third week of April. That same week, Colton heads into the hospital for pre-transplant chemo, radiation, the transplant itself, and chemo to follow. We'll be in the hospital for a little over 4 weeks.

After discharge, we're looking at a couple months where Colton will have appointments twice a week and we'll need to stay close to the hospital while his immune system recovers and to monitor for any graft-versus-host disease. We'll keep everyone updated as things progress and greatly appreciate your continued prayers through it all.
